Clifton AM takes over South Coast Planner
Wealth manager Clifton Asset Management has today completed the acquisition of Financial Planning firm Leonard Gold Financial Management and says it plans further acquisitions before the end of the year.
Leonard Gold is based in Southsea, Portsmouth, and has been an appointed representative of Clifton Wealth Partnership for the last two years while preparing for the sale.
Leonard Gold clients have been steadily transitioned to Clifton advisers who will take over from retiring Leonard Gold FM principal Nas Khan.
Leonard Gold Financial Management was originally part of Leonard Gold Chartered Accountants and joined Clifton Wealth Partnership in 2019.
In 2019 Clifton launched its Clifton Wealth Partnership arm to allow smaller advisory firms to work under the Clifton umbrella by joining via acquisition or appointed rep status.
Clifton’s Group Financial Planning director Anthony Carty said: “It’s been a delight working with Leonard Gold and Nas over the last two years. He has always provided a first-class service to his clients and going forward we will build on these strong relationships.”
Nas Khan of Leonard Gold Financial Management, said: “I have greatly enjoyed my 20 years working at Leonard Gold, meeting many wonderful people as the firm has grown. It has been a pleasure working with Clifton over the past two years to ensure a seamless transition to their service and I can now leave the business knowing that all of our clients are in very experienced hands.”
The acquisition cost has not been disclosed.
