Cofunds and Grant Thornton launch workshops on adviser fees
Financial advisers have the opportunity to gain tips on making the transition to fees from Cofunds and tax experts Grant Thornton.
Cofunds has partnered with Grant Thornton to offer a series of adviser workshops nationwide throughout October.
The workshops ‘The Fee Challenge- Segments, Service and VAT’ are focused on how advisers can make the transition from commission to fee-based advice.
The sessions will also show how client segmentation can help with the move, how to build an appropriate service model and how to profit from low net worth clients.
Grant Thornton will be speaking about the issues regarding VAT, which many people are still unclear about.
Stephen Wynne-Jones, head of marketing at Cofunds, said: “These practical and interactive workshops are a great opportunity for advisers to find out how we can help them adapt their business, segment their client base and ensure their firm remains profitable after 2012.
“We’re also pleased to be working with the tax experts from Grant Thornton to help guide our clients around the thorny issue of VAT in the transition from commission.”
The sessions start in Glasgow on 5 October and will end in Fareham on 28 October.
