‘Customer is king’ author to speak at PFS PowerLive
Award-winning business author Robert Craven – writer of the ‘Customer is King’ book – has been signed up to speak at the next Personal Finance Society’s PowerLive event aimed at Financial Planners and advisers.
The author and managing director of The Directors’ Centre will reveal insider tips on how Financial Planners and advisers can boost their profits at the event in June.
He will share his insights and strategy for refocussing on ‘customer centricity’ and improving ‘customer outcomes’, says the PFS.
The event, featuring leading Financial Planning and business speakers, takes place in Manchester on 13 June.
Mr Craven said: “The last 20 years have seen some amazing technological advancements, most prominently the explosion of the internet, which brings with it the benefit of transparency within financial services.
“That said, so many businesses still do not place customer service as their number one priority.
“In taking part in the Power Live conferences, I want to show how focussing on customer outcomes is a practical and tangible route to running a successful and profitable business.”
Mark Hutchinson, director of societies and member marketing for the Personal Finance Society, said: “Feedback for this conference last year was exceptional.
“While the advice profession has upped its game in recent years there is much more we can do to secure the confidence of consumers.
“Financial Planning helps by focusing on dreams and aspirations rather than just money, which gives clients confidence. Money is just an enabler.”
The one-day event takes place at Manchester’s Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel and will look at client expectations, behavioural economics, using fintech to power improved client-centricity and the power of coaching.
