SIPP and SSAS provider Dentons has acquired Brown Shipley’s pension admin business and professional trustee company for an undisclosed sum.
All 16 staff at the Brown Shipley unit have joined Dentons with immediate effect.
The acquisition will add approximately 1,000 SIPPs to Dentons existing book of business, increasing the total to over 7,600 SIPPs.
It will also add 485 SSASs, taking the SSAS total to over 1300.
Dentons says the move will boost Dentons assets under administration to over £6.6bn
Martyn Rose, chairman of Dentons said: “This acquisition is an important part of our growth strategy. These books of business are a great fit for us, with both firms sharing a similar ethos of high quality service and administration excellence, putting the client at the heart of everything we do.
“We are committed to growing both organically and by selected acquisition and we continue to look for acquisitions that represent a good strategic fit for us. We look forward to working closely with Brown Shipley as it will continue to provide its banking and investment services to those clients.”
Andrew Curran, chief financial officer at Brown Shipley said: “We are looking forward to continuing to work alongside Dentons in supporting our mutual clients, for whom Brown Shipley will continue to provide wealth planning, banking and investment management services.“
