EQ Investors hires ex-Broadstone CEO
EQ Investors, the boutique wealth manager and Chartered Financial Planning firm led by industry veteran John Spiers, has recruited Mark Howlett to join as an executive director with responsibility for the advice side of the business.
He will drive the company’s plans to add to its range of services to clients and help develop new distribution channels.
Mr Howlett previously worked for wealth management firm Broadstone Corporate Benefits where he was chief executive. Prior to that, he led the private client and corporate benefits divisions of BDO Investment Management.
His experience spans wealth management, pensions and employee benefits and he brings with him over 25 years of expertise in senior executive positions, says EQ.
John Spiers, chief executive at EQ, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to EQ and look forward to using the breadth and depth of his experience to take our advice and corporate benefits business to the next stage.”
Mr Howlett said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining EQ and I’m thrilled to be part of the senior team of such a dynamic and ambitious firm.
“EQ is in the process of driving forward some really significant developments, including strengthening its existing offering to clients and establishing additional distribution channels for its services. I’m looking forward to the challenges of this role.”
