Fidelity launches 2 bespoke funds for Financial Planner
Fund manager Fidelity has launched two ‘custom-designed’ OEIC funds exclusively for clients of Wolverhampton-based Chartered Financial Planners Howard Wright Financial Planning.
The FIF - Fidelity Strategic Growth Portfolio and FIF - Fidelity Strategic Defensive Portfolio are part of Fidelity’s tailored solutions services for clients.
Howard Wright asked Fidelity to create two bespoke funds to provide global exposure to a diversified range of assets.
The Financial Planning firm says it will blend the two funds and their risk profiles to meet clients' risk/return objectives.
Both funds will be managed by Ayesha Akbar, Caroline Shaw and Sudi Gupta who are part of the Fidelity Multi Asset Solutions group.
The FIF - Fidelity Strategic Defensive Portfolio has at least 70% exposure to lower risk investments such as debt instruments, including global government bonds, global corporate bonds and cash. The FIF - Fidelity Strategic Growth Portfolio has at least 70% exposure to higher risk investments such as global equities, global emerging market equities and global smaller companies.
Howard Wright Financial Planning is a long established family-owned Midlands Financial Planner. It counts TV sports presenter Suzi Perry among its clients.
Gareth Robinson, managing director, Howard Wright Financial Planning, said: “We chose to work with Fidelity due to their deep investment knowledge and long-standing reputation as a world class investment solutions and services provider.”
Russell Lancaster, head of UK intermediary sales at Fidelity, said: “We’re pleased to have been working with Howard Wright on these bespoke products and look forward to developing our partnership with them in the future. It is just one example of how our Solutions business can help advisers address the need for increasingly complex investment propositions, leveraging our Multi-Asset team’s expertise.”
Fidelity has 2.5m customers globally, operates in 25 countries and has approximately £588bn in total assets.
