Financial Planner joins South West chartered accountants
South West-based accountancy firm Albert Goodman has appointed Matthew Potter as Financial Planning consultant.
He has joined from Taunton Mortgage Centre where he was a mortgage adviser.
Mr Potter has 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry and five years in property management, having previously worked at letting agents Castlemoat.
He will be based across Albert Goodman’s Yeovil and Weymouth offices, and will take responsibility for helping individuals and families to navigate the world of Financial Planning and investment.
He is a father-of-two who lives with his family in Taunton and is known in the town for his sporting achievements, having launched the Taunton Dragons basketball club.
Mr Potter said: “I’m looking forward to collaborating with my new colleagues to ensure Albert Goodman clients have the peace of mind to plan for the future with confidence.”

Albert Goodman has been helping people and businesses across the South West for more than 150 years, having been founded in 1866. Founder Albert Goodman was one of the very first members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
It opened a new central Bristol office last year and has also expanded from Taunton into Yeovil, Weymouth and Weston-Super-Mare.
It launched its Financial Planning arm Albert Goodman Chartered Financial Planners in 2003. It secured a B Certified Corporation status in 2023.
