Financial Planners head to London for Morningstar Conference
The seventh annual two-day Morningstar Investment Conference, in association with the Institute of Financial Planning, will take begin on London's South Bank on Tuesday morning (14 May). The conference is being held at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in Vauxhall, London and some 400 delegates are expected to attend.
Financial Planner Online will be covering both days with live-tweeting via @FPM_Online and the hashtag #MICUK as well as stories on our website financialplanneronline.co.uk.
Speakers on 22 May include Stephen Snowden from Kames Capital, Francis Scotland from Brandywine and Terry Smith from Fundsmith. There will also be a panel session on platform investment trends chaired by Mark Polson from the lang cat with panelists Graham Bentley, Ian Taylor from Transact and Tom Sheridan from Seven Investment Management.

On 23 May speakers include Clive Adamson from the Financial Conduct Authority, Stefan Isaacs from M&G and Nick Clay from Newton Investment Management. As well as keynote speakers, there will be a panel on asset allocation and an interview with Geoff Drabble, chief executive of equipment rental business Ashtead Group. The focus of the conference is education and learning so Morningstar encourages questions for speakers and no product pitches. There will be a dedicated Morningstar conference app for live polling, videos, presentations and speakers profiles.
Attendance of both days of the conference totals ten hours of CPD.
