Financial Planning firm creates new Midlands wealth team
A Financial Planning firm has created a new West Midlands wealth management team and hired a Chartered Financial Planner to be part of it.
Cooper Parry Wealth has made the move after the merger of PKF Cooper Parry with accountants Clement Keys at the turn of the year.
Tony Ross, a Chartered Financial Planner, with the Investment Management Certificate and Private Client Investment Advice and Management Certificate, has joined the company which won the IFP Accredited Firm of the Year title in 2015.
The new team, which will be headed-up by chief executive Stephen Jones, will be based at the firm’s Edgbaston offices. Cooper Parry Wealth now has a 20-strong team based across the East and West Midlands and reported that it had trebled revenue in the last three years.
The firm hopes to broaden its reach across the West Midlands and has ambitions to increase revenues in Birmingham to £15m over the next two years.
Stephen Jones, chief executive of Cooper Parry Wealth, said: “Our business continues to grow and the West Midlands is an important new market for us, building on the success we have had in the East Midlands and further afield.”
Mr Jones recently told FPT his firm is looking at adding another two Paraplanners to bring its Paraplanning team to eight by the end of 2016. Last September, Cooper Parry launched a joint venture with Kent-based accountancy firm Creaseys called Creaseys Wealth.
Mr Ross, who joins after five years at a boutique wealth management firm in Stratford-upon-Avon, said: “It’s exciting to be part of a dynamic and forward thinking wealth management firm and be surrounded by people who challenge common beliefs and are seeking to influence the main stream.”
The firm was established more than 12 years ago and offers Financial Planning, investment management and tax advice.
