Cotswolds-based Broadway Financial Planning staff are set to walk to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Managing director Keri Carter and the team will trek 20 miles rough terrain, from Cleeve Hill, Gloucestershire to Broadway Tower, Worcestershire, on 21 June, following the death of a friend and client last year.
Chris Stock and his wife, Zoe, were friends of Ms Carter’s family for many years before Chris sadly passed away in September 2018 from pancreatic cancer.
A successful business owner, Chris was said to be always keen to help others when he could and provided Ms Carter with a job in printing prior to her joining the Financial Planning profession.
More recently, Chris and Zoe became clients of the firm and were described as “great advocates for Financial Planning”.
Ms Carter said: “Cancer is something that affects many people either directly or indirectly.
“At BFP, we support different charities each year and, in 2019, we have decided that we will challenge ourselves to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
“As a result of Chris’s death from pancreatic cancer, it feels right that we should support such a worthwhile charity this year.
For their challenge, the BFP team are going to walk from Cleeve Hill to Broadway Tower on Friday 21st June.
