Financial Planning firms to contest highly sought prize
Financial Planning firms have been challenged to contest one of the most sought after prizes in the profession.
Companies can contend from next month for a prestigious IFP award, which is dedicated to a former Chairman and President.
The David Norton Building Excellence Award, last year won Old Mill, with Proposito in second place, will be opening for entries.
Previous winners include Cooper Parry, Fiscal Engineers and Page Russell.

Firms must demonstrate how they have outstanding potential for excellence in Financial Planning combined with business management expertise.
This is shown by a commitment to 'true' Financial Planning, identification of the strengths and weaknesses in their company, embracing fee-based remuneration and a well-thought out business plan.
IFP communications director Sue Whitbread said: "If you're ready for the challenge then you should be entering your firm's application for this year's David Norton Building Excellence Award.
"Through it, IFP is looking to identify good Financial Planning firms which could use expert mentoring and business support to help them make that final step up to the levels needed to become an Accredited Financial Planning FirmTM.
"The range of prizes for the winning firm is exceptional, including mentoring with a number of experts all there to help the business to achieve positive change, making the breakthrough they are striving for.
"This outstanding package will transform the winning business into one which is ideally positioned to make the most of the considerable business opportunities that lie ahead and progress to becoming an IFP Accredited Firm."
Steve Gazzard CFPCM, IFP chief executive and award judge said: "It's about identifying firms who know Financial Planning is the answer, who have made progress towards their ultimate goal, who accept they are on a journey, value help on the way and appreciate recognition for what they have achieved."
IFP Accredited Firms are not eligible to apply for this award having already reached the highest standards set by IFP as representing the leaders in the profession.
Recognising Excellence, the separate IFP award exclusively for Accredited Firms will be open to entries in June.
