Frenkel Topping inks third legal firm deal
Financial adviser Frenkel Topping has launched a joint venture with personal injury specialists Express Solicitors.
The 50/50 joint venture, the third signed by Frenkel, will provide advice to Express clients who have received personal injury settlements.
The joint venture will be named ExpressFT.
Frenkel Topping employs a number of Chartered and Certified Financial Planners and some are members of the Society of Later Life Advisers (Solla). The group includes Ascencia Investment Management and Obiter Wealth Management.
Express Solicitors is a Manchester law firm, specialising in personal injury clients.
As part of the deal, Frenkel Topping will be a preferred IFA to the joint venture, offering specialist post-settlement advice to Express' clients who have suffered from personal injury and clinical negligence.
Frenkel Topping has signed similar deals with Hudgell Solicitors and Horwich Cohen Coghlan.
Mark Holt, managing director of Frenkel Topping, said: "We have worked alongside Express Solicitors for many years and have always admired the passion and care with which they act for clients in legal proceedings.
“The ability to offer life after settlement advice through ExpressFT will support our growth strategy by expanding the client base and building AUM."
James Maxey, managing partner of Express Solicitors, said: "We've recommended clients to Frenkel Topping for many years, in cases where they would benefit from the specialist investment advice provided.
“Frenkel Topping are very clearly focused on the needs of injury victims and have a similar culture and philosophy to our own. As our client base continues to grow, we look forward to partnering with Frenkel Topping to support our shared clients with an expanded range of services."
