Next week, the Institute of Financial Planning hosts the prestigious annual Council Meeting of the global Financial Planning Standards Board. The meeting takes place from 15-19 October 2012 at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport and will be covered by Financial Planner Online and Financial Planner magazine. The 2011 Council Meeting was held in Washington DC. Nick Cann, chief execuive of the IFP, said: "The IFP is extremely proud to be hosting the FPSB Council Meeting so soon after our own sell-out conference at the Celtic Manor. "We are delighted to welcome the leaders of the Financial Planning profession from around the world to the UK. It's great that we will have 23 affiliate countries taking part, representing over 140,000 CFPCM professionals worldwide. We will be discussing the developing standards in Financial Planning around the world as well as the progress of CFP certification and how Financial Planning is now changing people's lives for the better all around the globe."
