National IFA Foster Denovo is supporting a village in Ghana by donating computers for a local school and community centre.
The project, in connection with the Ghana Refugee Welfare Group (GHARWEG), will see technology shipped to central Ghana.
Following a head office IT systems upgrade, Foster Denovo has donated computers and laptops, which are due to be sent to the village of Ekumfi Adansi.
Ebenezer Anaman, vice chairman of GHARWEG, will be visiting the village later in the year and will present the new IT equipment alongside the village chief.
Roger Brosch, CEO of Foster Denovo, said: “Upgrading technology is crucial to stay ahead in our sector.
“However, IT resources dont have to be brand new to be incredibly useful learning tools.
“It is vital that schools and communities worldwide have access to computers, I am therefore delighted that we are able to share our resources in this way.”
Mr Anaman said: ”The school only has one computer for all 350 pupils to share and there are none currently available in the community centre for the villagers to use.
“Foster Denovo’s help is therefore invaluable in providing vital educational tools for the adults and children of Ekumfi Adansi, who, I know, will be hugely grateful.”
