IFP campaign week launch for 52 Financial Planners book
A new book written by 52 Financial Planners aimed at showcasing the profession to the public will launch during Financial Planning Week.
The initiative was started by Martin Bamford CFPCM, while Steve Gazzard, chief executive of the IFP, is writing the foreword.
IFP vice president Alan Dick CFPCM and board members Chris Williams CFPCM and Andrew Brook Dobson CFPCM are among the writers. (See full list below).
Some IFP branch chairman such as Diane Weitz CFPCM, Chris Weetman CFPCM and Nicola Coates CFPCM are also contributing. The publication will cover a wide range of personal finance and investing topics and is aimed at members of the public.

The book will be released during the IFP’s big annual campaign to boost the profession - Financial Planning Week in November.
Mr Bamford, managing director of Informed Choice in Surrey, said: “The book is going to be an excellent showcase for the Financial Planning profession.
“Rather than host a single book launch, we are planning a series of these around the country, in collaboration with the book contributors. Several Financial Planners have already offered to host local book launches in Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and Birmingham.”
Mr Bamford said: “The project is progressing really well with 31 chapters now submitted for editing by the contributors. I’ve received chapters on a wide range of topics, which from a personal perspective have been fascinating to read.
“The draft manuscript now stands at 120 pages and nearly 24,000 words. I expect to receive the remaining chapters within the next week or two, and then will move onto the editing, proofreading and typesetting phase of the project.”
The Financial Planners writing chapters for the book are:
