Bristol branch welcomed Barry Foster of Axa Wealth talking on tax planning for 2014/15 and also compliance specialist Adam Samuel.
Barry looked at tax planning for 2014/15, including impacts from the March budget and highlighting areas members should be aware of for 2014/15 (and beyond) to ensure best use is made of allowances available, avoid pitfalls, and keep clients' plans on track.
Adam, who sits on the IFP Ethics and Practice Standards committee provided a useful reminder of the detail within the IFP code of ethics. He also gave an overview of what ethical considerations members should be thinking about in business and client dealings.
Branch chairman Ed Green CFPCM said: "It was great to see another well attended, thought provoking session. Little did I know when I booked Barry and Adam last year how relevant their sessions would be.

"Barry, following the groundbreaking Budget, was able to cover off some of the implications that perhaps weren't immediately apparent whilst the dust was settling. Adam presented on the 'hot of the press' IFP Code Of Ethics, which again gave attendees a great deal to think about and perhaps to reassess within their normal business dealings.'
