IFP staff and IFP members will become inflatable sumo wrestlers and more when they take part in a charity day on Bank Holiday Monday 26 May. The event, inspired by classic BBC television show It's a Knockout, is expected to attract 120 people taking part plus 30 or more spectators. Several financial providers and IFP Corporate Members are backing the event including Seven IM, ETF Securities and Morningstar. Cath Faulds, IFP head of business development, has organised the Family Fun day to raise money for the Stoke Association after IFP chief executive Nick Cann suffered a stroke last year. He is now recovering and recently attended the IFP Paraplanner Conference as an observer. {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Ten teams will compete in eight events involving activities such as inflatable assault courses and duels. Cath said: "Nick is very sporty and competitive and is a truly family man so I though this type of event would fit well. Nick has been a fantastic boss and friend and just the mention of his name has made people want to be involved." Financial Planner will be running coverage of the event so check back here for more details. To make a donation, Cath and her team are using the Just Giving charity site.
