The inflation rate has dropped to 1.7%, the Office for National Statistics has announced.
The Consumer Prices Index fell to 1.7% in February from 1.9% in January, official figures show.
It marks the second consecutive month that the measure has been below the Bank of England's 2% target.

Inflation measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI) fell to 2.7% from 2.8% the month before.
CPIH grew by 1.6% in the year to February 2014, down from 1.8% in January. RPIJ grew by 2.0%, down from 2.1% in January.
