Iress to pension off Adviser Office to focus on Xplan
Fintech and back office system provider Iress has launched a new range of Xplan packages as it prepares to retire its popular Adviser Office system used by many advisers.
Iress will cease support for the 30-year-old Adviser Office system in mid 2023.
The company says that current Adviser Office clients can upgrade to equivalent functionality in Xplan Essentials at no extra cost.
Iress’ chief commercial officer Simon New, said: “We’re proud of the history of Adviser Office, which has been a leading advice platform over the past 30 years. However we know the future lies in cloud-based, API-enabled, modular technology which can scale and adapt to evolving business needs."
Iress says its new cloud-based Xplan packages provide additonal functionality compared to Adviser Office, including a client portal, digital signatures and automated workflows.
The three new Xplan packages are Essentials, Plus and One and are hosted on the Iress Cloud Platform:
- Xplan Essentials: a fully-hosted and managed solution, built with best-practice templates, workflows, automation and digital technology.
- Xplan Plus: Includes everything in the Essentials package, plus the option to customise workflows, reports and client-facing documents that use Xplan data.
- Xplan One: Is suited to advice practices with specific customisation and hosting requirements.
The firm says each package is modular so advice businesses can choose either out-of-the-box functionality or customise solutions to meet their needs.
Iress provides software to the financial services sector in a number of areas including trading and market data, financial advice, investment management, mortgages, superannuation, life & pensions and data intelligence. The firm has 2,250 staff worldwide and says its software is used by more than 10,000 businesses and 500,000 users globally.
