Evelyn appoints Financial Planning director for South
Financial Planner and wealth manager Evelyn Partners has appointed Matt Dickens as Financial Planning director for the South of England.
He joins Evelyn after more than a decade at The Ingenious Group, most recently as senior business development director.
He is an experienced Financial Planner and investment manager who has held portfolio management positions at Close Wealth Management and Fisher Wealth Management.
Mr Dickens will focus on mitigating inheritance tax, capital gains tax deferral, utilising income tax reliefs and passing on family money, working closely with the firm’s investment managers to provide a holistic wealth management service.
He will work predominantly from the firm’s Bournemouth and Southampton offices.
Mark Wilkins, managing partner for Evelyn Partners in Bournemouth, said: “During this ongoing period of economic and market uncertainty, the need for high-quality financial advice has never been more important. Matt has a wealth of experience and will be well-placed to work alongside our Financial Planners, investment managers and tax teams."
Matt Dickens said: “Coming from a role where I have spent considerable time discussing technical Financial Planning matters with advisers and accountants alike, I hope to be able to use this experience to deliver better outcomes for clients in the Bournemouth and Southampton areas.”
In recent months Evelyn has been busy snapping up rival firms. In December it acquired Bucks-based Harwood Hutton, a firm of accountants, tax advisers and business specialists for an undisclosed amount.
In November Evelyn Partners acquired Creaseys Group, which operates from Tunbridge Wells. Before that, in February it acquired Leathers LLP which operates from offices in Newcastle and Harrogate, and in April it acquired Cambridge-based firm Ashcroft Partnership LLP.
Evelyn Partners also completed a transaction with KPMG UK which saw a leading international disputes team join its Forensic Services practice.
