Financial Planning Week 2017, the annual CISI campaign to promote the benefits of Financial Planning to consumers, has begun today.

Planners at 73 Financial Planning practices are providing free surgeries worth up to £500 to consumers.

The campaign week, run by the CISI, will take place until 12 May, in a bid to boost understanding of the profession.

It is a continuation of the initiative started by the Institute of Financial Planning, before it merged with the CISI.

During last year’s campaign, Financial Planning firms gained three or four new ‘million pound clients’, the CISI reported in November.

This year’s Financial Planning Week is being spearheaded by CISI leading Accredited Financial Planning Firms.

Firms are offering a mix of:

Free consultation surgeries, either in person, via Skype or over the phone. These one hour consultations are worth up to £500, said the CISI, offered by CFPTM professionals throughout the UK
Answering consumer questions on our ‘Ask a Planner’ online via the Wayfinder website.
Some will give talks to schools about the merits of the profession.

The firms offering free surgeries includes 13 regional offices of Mazars, an Accredited firm.
