Financial Planner Tilney makes new hires in Scotland
Financial Planning and investment management firm Tilney has strengthened its team in Scotland with two new hires.
The company, which has more than £24bn assets under management, has appointed John Milne as a Financial Planner and Debbie Hair as a senior investment manager.
The firm says its ongoing hiring programme of experienced professionals “further cements Tilney’s position as one of the largest wealth managers in Scotland.”
Tilney has offices in Scotland’s three largest cities: Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Mr Milne joins the Aberdeen office from Lloyds Wealth Management where he spent the past six years as a Financial Planner.
Before Lloyds Wealth Management he was senior financial adviser at the Bank of Scotland.
Ms Hair joined Tilney’s Edinburgh office after returning from 18-months based in New York where she worked for Coleman Research, a firm providing research consultancy services to investment firms.
Prior to this she worked as an investment manager at Vestra Wealth and before that she spent six years at private bank Brown Shipley where she was a senior private client manager.
Ms Hair holds a degree in economics and law from the University of Edinburgh.
Paul Frame, head of Scotland and Northern Ireland at Tilney, said: “John and Debbie both have excellent track records of forging strong relationships with clients and ensuring their needs are met to the highest standard.
“I am delighted to welcome them to the team.
“They join at a very exciting time of growth and expansion for the business, both here in Scotland and across the wider UK.”
He added: “We will continue to look to add new talent in Scotland and are currently seeing considerable interest from some very high calibre professionals who like the fact that we can offer clients who require it a really joined up and personalised approach to their financial affairs, bringing together the dual expertise of financial advice and wealth planning, with personalised investment management.”
