IWP acquires London Financial Planner Clairville York
Expanding national Financial Planning firm Independent Wealth Planners (IWP) has acquired London Financial Planner Clairville York Financial Advisers, the company’s eighth ‘hub.’
South London-based Clairville York planner has £374m under management and specialises in providing Financial Planning to private and corporate clients, trusts, employees and business owners.
The firm has six advisers and was founded in 1987 by Leslie Sharpe, and is headquartered in Cheam, South London.
Clairville York will become IWP’s main hub for the region, with managing director Leslie Sharpe staying on to lead and expand the business through further acquisitions of other local IFAs.
IWP plan to use the Clairville York brand to expand throughout South London, Kent and Surrey.

“Our people built this business, our clients are this business and the people at IWP understand our business. Securing the future growth of the business and its clients was key to us.”
Earlier this year Independent Wealth Planners bought its seventh business and its first in Scotland, Financial Planner AGL Wealth Management and Wigan-based Chartered Financial Planners Prosper Wealth Management.
Other IWP businesses include Alexander Grace Chartered Financial Planners, Kelsall Steele Investment Services, Murdoch Asset Management, Rixons Wealth Management, Bartholomew Wealth Management and now Prosper.
