Aberdeen-based Financial Planning firm Johnston Carmichael Wealth has rebranded to Partners Wealth Management, just under a year after being acquired by the 7IM group business for an undisclosed amount.
The firm said clients will be supported by the same advisers and teams they know, but now backed by the additional scale and resources of a national firm.
The acquisition in March 2025 brought in around £855m in assets for around 1,500 private clients.
The Aberdeen firm’s 14 Financial Planners now advise on around £900m of assets for approximately 1,300 clients.
Fiona Oliver, managing partner at Partners, said: “Strong partnerships lead to exceptional client outcomes. By uniting under the Partners brand, we are bringing together the depth of Johnston Carmichael Wealth’s expertise with the support of our national platform.”
City of London-based Partners was founded in 2004 by four founders, and now comprises 238 professionals overseeing more than £6bn in assets for around 6,000 clients.
Acquisitions over the last 12 months include Eastcote Wealth Management, Navigate Capital Management as well as Johnston Carmichael Wealth.
Partners said its new brand identity reinforced its ambition to establish itself as the leading wealth management firm in the UK.
Partners has been led by Chartered Financial Planner Fiona Oliver since 2024.
The firm was acquired by investment manager and platform provider 7IM in October 2020. It was the first advice firm acquired by 7IM and at the time held around £2bn in client assets.
