Last day to register to enter IFP Paraplanner award
Paraplanners wishing to enter the Institute of Financial Planning's Paraplanner award need to register today to enter.
Registration for the Paraplanner of the Year award can take up to five days to be accepted and the deadline for entries is 6 September.
Entrants need to complete a technical questionnaire with Wizard Learning, a 1,000 word essay and supply a testimonial from an adviser they have worked with.
The two topics for the essay are:
The three judges for the award are Steve Gazzard CFPCM, IFP interim chief executive, Patrick Ingram, head of corporate relationships at award sponsor Parmenion, and Richard Allum CFPCM and Martin Vaughan CFPCM from The Paraplanners.
The awards are open to employed Paraplanners as well as those working freelance or outsourced. They do not have to be IFP members.
Applications close on 6 September and the winner will be formally announced at the IFP Annual Conference in October.

- Discuss the importance of Paraplanning in attracting new entrants to the Financial Planning profession, identifying key challenges and proposing solutions
- Discuss how the role of the Paraplanner supports the delivery of Financial Planning to clients particularly in the reduction and management of risk in the business.
