Leading Planner to offer planner coaching programme
Leading Chartered and Certified Financial Planner Warren Shute is to launch a new coaching programme “for planners, by planners.”
The course will include face-to-face quarterly meetings over a 36-month period, based on Mr Shute’s "tested in the trenches" experience over the last 27 years, he said.
Mr Shute has run his own Financial Planning firm, Wiltshire-based Lexington Wealth, since 2005.
The award-winning planner believes his new Lexington Coaching Programme will be among the first in the UK to be run exclusively by practicing Financial Planners.
Mr Shute is a Certified Financial Planner and an internationally-certified coach. He is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Mr Shute says he will share, “what I do, how I do it and the resources I use to deliver the service which has enabled me to deliver a seven-digit growth practice with one fee earning planner, while working four days a week and taking 12 weeks away from the office each year.”
The experienced planner says the course will aim to raise standards in the profession by helping more planners deliver what he calls, “a true Financial Planning experience.”
Mr Shute said: “I got into Financial Planning because I want to help people live their life by design, not default. By helping other planners deliver a true Financial Planning experience, I’m contributing to the profession I am so proud of.”
“I’m passionate about raising the awareness of Financial Planning in the UK. I’ve worked with schools to deliver financial education lessons, and in the workplace delivering Money Plan clinics and seminars. I’ve also worked with the media on TV, radio and in print.”
“I now want to share my knowledge and skills to help other planners build an outstanding practice and deliver true Financial Planning, which will be the core of the coaching programme.”
Mr Shute has won numerous awards and is a former CISI Certified Financial Planner of the Year, past judge, and recipient of the David Norton Building Excellence Award and, with Lexington Wealth, a regular in industry Top 100s. He writes a weekly personal finance column for the Sunday Mirror, has authored the personal finance book The Money Plan and also appears on TV and radio regularly.
Mr Shute says his inspiration to launch the coaching initiative came from working with Paul Etheridge, the founder of the Institute of Financial Planning, and Prestwood Software.
Mr Shute attended Mr Etheridge’s coaching programme and his Advanced Planners Group for several years and says it has been a significant contributing factor to the success of his practice.
The first session will start in January. Details at: https://lexingtonwealth.co.uk/PlannersTraining/
