Legal & General Investment Management has recruited a head of workplace defined contributions (product & proposition) to continue its “commitment to growth”.
Katharine Photiou will join Legal & General Investment Management from Barclays where she was head of workplace savings.
She previously worked for Friends Provident holding numerous roles over the past 10 years such as head of DC corporate strategy & design.
She also held the position of project leader of workplace savings at Mercer.
At Legal & General Investment Management, Ms Photiou will be responsible for ensuring the company strives for a market-leading DC proposition, aiming to attract and retain corporate clients.

She will also sit on the independent governance committee as a company representative.
In her new role she will report directly to Aaron Meder, head of investments at Legal & General Investment Management.
Mr Meder, said: “Katharine is a person of outstanding drive and passion and has a distinguished track record of achievement right across the proposition development lifecycle. Her appointment serves to further demonstrate our scale and commitment to growth in this market.”
