Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Siobhan Boylan as chief financial officer.
Ms Boylan joins LGIM from her role as chief financial officer for Aviva North America, based in Chicago, where she was responsible for US and Canadian finance functions. Prior to this she was chief financial officer at Aviva Investors from 2007-2011.
Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval and she will report to Mark Zinkula, LGIM chief executive.

Mr Zinkula said the Ms Boylan's international experience was a "great asset" to the business as it looks to expand internationally.
Mr Zinkula said: "Siobhan joins us at an exciting time for our business. Our international expansion is gaining momentum as we experience increasing demand for our range of strategies. Siobhan's experience as an internationally focused CFO will be a great asset to the business and I look forward to working with her."
Ms Boylan said: "I am delighted to join LGIM at this point in its expansion. This is a business with a tremendous potential for growth and in my new role I hope to use my experience to help Mark and the Board drive the best from the business and capitalise on the many opportunities open to LGIM."
