Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed a new head of UK retail sales from fund manager Jupiter.

Simon Hynes was previously global head of distribution at Jupiter Fund Management and worked in a range of senior management roles from 2002-2014.

He has also held the position of regional sales manager at Foreign & Colonial.

Mr Hynes’s appointment follows a restructuring of LGIM’s retail distribution area earlier this year. He will report directly to Honor Solomon, head of retail distribution, EMEA.

Ms Solomon, said: “The UK as ever is a core focus for us. Simon is highly experienced in UK sales and relationship management across IFAs, platforms and discretionary clients and we know he is highly thought of by many of our partners.
