‘Lingo Bingo’ heralds Paraplanner virtual coffee mornings
The Paraplanner Powwows, the support and training initiative for Paraplanners, is launching ‘Lockdown Lingo Bingo’ to herald its new virtual Paraplanner Coffee Mornings initiative.
The first Coffee Morning online is due to take place on 22 May to give Paraplanners a chance for a social chit-chat during lockdown.
To help launch the Powwow Coffee Mornings the group has unveiled 'Lockdown Lingo Bingo.’
Participants can download a bingo card now to play this week and just need to note down each time a particular phrase or piece of jargon is heard between now and Friday.
Phrases include: 'stay safe', 'it is what it is', 'covid-iot', WFH and many others.
The game is a twist of office bingo where employees note each time they hear jargon or common office phrases during a meeting.
The Paraplanner Powwows say there are no prizes for ‘Lingo Bingo’ but a full house will, “earn you the unerring respect of your fellow Paraplanners.”
The bingo card can be downloaded here: Here's your bingo card.
With lockdown preventing physical get-togethers taking place with other Paraplanners the Coffee Mornings are designed to give people a chance for a social chat online in the same place at the same time via Zoom.
Paraplanners Jackie Manning, Caroline Stuart and Claire Lindsay are organising the Coffee Mornings.
The first Powwow Coffee Morning Zoom call will be on Friday 22 May, at 10am for one hour.
The unstructured informal session will allow Paraplanners to “just have a chin wag” and, optionally, discuss Paraplanning. Participants can stay for the full hour or just part of it.
The Powwows are launching the coffee mornings and other ideas after asking Powwow participants about the support they need during lockdown.
Many said they wanted a chance to catch up for an informal chat with fellow Paraplanners as the Powwows already offer a variety of more structured online training sessions.
You can save your spot here. The Powwows will then email a link to the Zoom meeting at 9 am on 22 May. You can also email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information.
