Expanding Chartered Financial Planner Lumin Wealth has acquired Berkshire-based £50m AUM Financial Planner Professional Financial Centre - PFC (Thames Valley).

The deal is the wider Lumin VZ Group’s ninth acquisition since 2019.

Lumin Wealth is a financial adviser and discretionary fund manager firm. It has offices in St Albans, London, Bishop’s Stortford, Beaconsfield and Reading.

Lumin says the deal will build on its strategy of partnering with “like-minded advisers.”

Lumin has been on the expansion trail in recent times. In November it acquired B W Financial Consultants Ltd, a Financial Planning firm based in Penn, Buckinghamshire for an undisclosed amount, adding £95m of assets to the group.

In July it bought the Big Picture Wealth Management, a financial adviser based in Ongar, Essex, with £85m in assets under management. In June it bought Dorset-based mortgage adviser Davidson Deem for an undisclosed amount.

Lumin acquired South East financial adviser Ashridge Financial Management in June 2022 and Hertfordshire-based financial adviser Enhance Wealth Management in March 2022. It acquired Hertfordshire IFA firm Chamberlain Stean and West in 2021 and London Financial Planner Everett MacLeod in 2020.

Lumin was founded in 2010 by Martin Cotter and John Cusins. It merged with Swiss financial services provider VZ Group in May 2021.
