Malcolm Murray has announced he is to retire from his role as head of marketing at Transact. Mr Murray began working at Transact in 2000 shortly after the firm was launched in the UK. He was initially due to work only one day a week on a consultancy basis but ended up staying for over 12 years full-time. He said: "I have been fortunate to be an integral part of Transact from its pioneering day to its position now as leader of its field. It has been an exhilarating time for all of us at Transact and we have enjoyed the support of a fantastic group of financial advisers/ planners." {desktop}{/desktop}{mobile}{/mobile} Wrap service Transact was the first UK wrap and has been a long-term supporter and corporate member of the Institute of Financial Planning. It now has £11bn in over 95,000 portfolios. Mr Murray will now return to working at his own consultancy firm and spending time at his house in France. He said: "If I have missed anything (which has been very little) it is the variety of work which running a consultancy involves. I look forward to being 'the boss' again when I can choose the tasks to undertake."
