Murder: 3 charged over pension firm director death
Police are continuing to seek witnesses after three people were charged with the murder of a director of a pensions company.
Guy Hedger, 61, was shot dead in Dorset by intruders, according to police, who said he was killed in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 30 April in his home in Castlewood in Ringwood.
The post-mortem examination found he died as a result of gunshot wounds. Three suspects have been charged with his murder and were due to appear in court this week.
Mr Hedger was marketing and branding director at LV=, and played a leading role in the rebranding of the business in early 2007.
His family described him as a “caring and compassionate man”.
Police received a call at 3.03am on the day of his death reporting that he had been shot with a shotgun. He died shortly after arriving at hospital despite attempts to save him.
It is believed jewellery, including designer watches, was stolen from the address, police said.
Detective Superintendent Kevin Connolly, said: "Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire, head of the Major Crime Team, continues to lead the investigation and any witnesses, who are yet to speak with officers, are asked to contact Dorset Police.”
The charges are as follows:
- Jason Baccus, 41, and Scott Keeping, 44, from Bournemouth, were charged with murder.
- Kevin Downton, 40, was charged with murder and aggravated burglary.
