New hire continues growth for Midlands Financial Planner
East Midlands based Financial Planning firm, Cowens Financial Architects has strengthened its team with a third new appointment within six months.
Joe Cormack joined the firm’s head office in Mansfield as project manager and brings five years’ financial services experience to the role.
Having previously gained his Financial Planning diploma, the firm says Mr Cormack “brings valuable experience of working with both corporate and private clients to the growing team”.
As part of his role, he will take on organising and managing the portfolios of a wide range of clients from across the UK.
Mr Cormack said: “Financial Planning has always appealed to me because of the wide variety of situations and range of clients you are able to help.
“After gaining my Diploma in Financial Planning, I was looking for a step up in my career and the move to Cowens has provided a perfect opportunity for that.
“Through my new role I am working with a diverse range of private and corporate clients and every day is different – what sets this company apart is the fact that project managers get to see financial projects for clients through from the very start to the end.
“The move was an ideal way for me to build upon my previous experience and broaden my knowledge.”
Mr Cormack joined the team as it looks to expand its reach further across the UK this year following a rebrand in October.
He added: “The business has a fresh, modern approach when managing clients’ most important assets and is currently in the process of implementing new IT and software to increase efficiency even further.
“This, together with Cowens’ stellar reputation for customer service in the Midlands is what drew me to the role.
“The head office in Mansfield had just undergone refurbishments as I started eight weeks ago and joining at the end of the tax year meant I came on board at a very busy and exciting time, made even better by the welcoming and friendly nature of the team.
“I hope to go on to become fully Chartered and progress into an advisor role over the next three to four years and I’m confident Cowens is the place for me to do this.”
Tony Duckworth, managing director at Cowens Financial Architects, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joe to our team as project manager.
“He joined at a very busy time for us and has already made a great impact – he has qualities we look for in all of our employees; drive, integrity and a passion for great customer service.
“I look forward to working closely with Joe to watch him grow and develop within his role and to see the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on Cowens Group.”
