Philip Chandler has been appointed chief investment officer (CIO) of Schroder Investment Solutions, while also maintaining his current position of head of UK multi-asset at the asset manager.

Mr Chandler joined Schroders in 2003, working for the multi-asset team from 2009.

Schroder Investment Solutions is a series of actively-managed model portfolios and multi-asset funds established by Schroders in 2021. It offers financial advisers access to a diverse selection of approaches across the risk spectrum spanning active, blended, passive and sustainable strategies.

Mr Chandler has served as co-manager of the Global Mutii-Asset Portfolio range within Schroder Investment Solutions (SIS) since its launch.

Schroders said his appointment would enhance the SIS proposition by ensuring alignment between the UK Multi-Asset team and the MPS range to create greater unification across all SIS solutions.

Mr Chandler said: "Having been with Schroders for over 20 years, I have witnessed the remarkable evolution and growth of the business which has included the launch of SIS. Schroders has managed multi-asset mandates for over nine decades and has over 145 dedicated professionals in the multi-asset investments team, managing over £200bn for clients.
