Newsletters to clients can be a value added service for advisers
Lifestyle Financial Planners Cowens has launched an e-newsletter service in association with AXA Wealth to provide its clients with analysis and comment.
The firm intends the newsletters to cover investment, pension, tax and protection issues and will be written by national journalists.
Regular communication with advisers is one of the factors which consumers say they most value from a Financial Planning service.
Contacting clients outside of their appointed review dates shows clients that their adviser is taking an ongoing interest in them. Newsletters are an ideal way to keep clients up to date and an example of value-added services firms can offer.
Caroline Royle, director of Cowens, said: "This ability to select from a wide range of high quality, professionally produced editorials written in a customer friendly way allows us to focus the newsletter's content to our client base.
"This service is essential as our priority is always contact with clients."
David Thompson, managing director of marketing and distribution at AXA Wealth, said: "Value added services will be critical to the success of adviser businesses post-RDR and research shows how important communication is for clients."
AXA Wealth, an IFP sponsor, is working with newsletter creator Pro-E Newsletters to promote the newsletters, which can be tailored to firms' target audiences, to financial services firms.
