An epic cycle ride from England to France involving a former IFP President got under way today. A team of cyclists – inspired by IFP chief executive Nick Cann who has been recovering following a stroke last year – is riding to Paris.
Ex-IFP President Julie Lord has been tweeting this morning and said the group of friends are still smiling after 27 miles and posted the picture above to prove it.
Mr Cann's wife Jo is also on the journey.

It will take them four days to do the 300 mile trip to the capital of France.
The IFP was inundated with messages of support after it was announced Mr Cann had become unwell in March last year.
Mrs Cann, head of change for UK and corporate benefits at Friends Life, said: "Our world turned upside down and very quickly we had to learn about stroke, speech therapy and all the after care.
"Nick is our inspiration but we're also hoping to raise lots of money to help all those who have suffered from strokes."
