One day until Paraplanner Conference takes place in Nottingham
Paraplanners will be heading to Nottingham tomorrow for the Institute of Financial Planning’s second annual Paraplanner conference.
The conference and dinner, being held at the upmarket Nottingham Belfry hotel, follows a successful sell-out debut last year.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Maximising Your Potential’ and covers topics such as tax planning challenges, asset allocation and cashflow planning.
The topics have been chosen specifically with Paraplanners in mind to help them gain the most benefits and knowledge from the day. There are also track sessions which mean delegates can choose the sessions which are most useful for them.
Speakers include Dr Paul Kaplan from Morningstar, Edward Grant from Technical Connection, Richard Allum CFPCM from Paraplan Plus and Moneyscope and Robert Cochran from Scottish Widows.
If delegates are authorised for CPD then certain sessions are eligible for personal development and technical CPD points.
Cath Morgans, IFP events manager, said: "There’s a real buzz about the day and lots of interesting and engaging speakers.
"Last year’s event was rated as 8/10, with 10 being excellent, by over 80 per cent of delegates."
The conference is just one of the ways the IFP is supporting Paraplanners. Last year it launched the first professional qualification in the UK with the Certificate in Paraplanning which has been since taken by many Paraplanners to improve their skills.
