Panel of experts answer consumer queries
The Institute of Financial Planning has set up an ‘Ask a Planner’ section on its website ahead of Financial Planning Week.
The section, on the General Public part of the website, lets consumers email in a question to a panel of experts.
Topics can be varied including mortgage repayments, retirement planning and household budgets.
The panel includes representatives and Financial Planners from the latest IFP Accredited Financial Planning Firms.
The best questions sent in will appear on the Question of the Week wall.
Financial Planning Week will be running from 21-27 November.
Many other Financial Planning firms will be setting up their own Q&A sessions during the week.
These aim to give consumers a chance to air their queries and for Financial Planners to find out what are consumers’ key issues.
Taylor Oliver Partnership in Sheffield will be offering two days of free financial advice as an introduction to the Financial Planning process. Not only will it help consumers but all donations for the advice will go to the Neurocare charity.
Freedom Financial Planning in Derbyshire will be offering a Financial Planning clinic to its local community and Martin Bamford from Informed Choice in Surrey is holding an introduction to Financial Planning workshop.
All these initatives aim to improve the ‘financial fitness’ of consumers and encourage them to look after their finances.
