Paraplanners Powwow coming to London tomorrow
The growing Paraplanners Powwow movement rides into the capital tomorrow for the third Powwow Down South.
Since starting up in 2013 various mini Powwows have sprung up around the country. The idea is for Paraplanners to get together, share ideas and best practice and develop their skills in a more informal environment than standard industry conferences.

Alan Gow, co-owner of Argonaut Paraplanning in Reading, and John Redmond APP have been organising the London events from the start. Nathan Fryer has joined the team running it.

Mr Gow said: “It’s really good to be involved in a small part of the Powwow movement and to have people come back time after time.
“We wanted to do another Powwow Down South, it’s been a little while since the last one and we wanted to squeeze one in before people go on their summer breaks when the schools break up.
"It’s really nice to see a core group of Paraplanners come every time and to know they are getting value from it.”
There will various subjects on the agenda to be debated and discussed, as chosen by the attendees through a survey. Seven Investment Management is hosting the event in London.
In an email to Paraplanners today, organisers said:
“Powwow Down South wouldn't be taking place if it wasn't for you. Because you decided to take part, you'll be gathering for an event that's been designed entirely by Paraplanners for Paraplanners.
"But there's one last vital thing we can all help with. The success of the Powwows relies on everyone gathering together, mucking in, getting stuff off our chests and discovering things that amaze us. So whether Powwow Down South is a soaring success or a dull disappointment depends on all of us getting stuck in. We'll get out what we put in.
"Or put another way: With the Powwow, we're not putting on an event or conference; we are the conference. Thank you so much for all your support and enjoy yourselves tomorrow.”
