Pareto opens new Manchester HQ and boosts team
Manchester-based Pareto Financial Planning has moved its HQ to the refurbished and iconic Old School House building in Spinningfields in the centre of the city and addd more staff.
The building dates back to 1886 and has been refurbished to become Pareto’s new head office.
The new bespoke office space should meet the future needs of the growing Pareto team, the company said, including new joiners Joe Heaword and Nathan Clarke.
Joe Heaword has joined as a financial adviser from Camargue Chambers LLP where he was also a financial adviser. He started his career as an administrator at Vale Insurance Services and has a specific interest in pension advice.
Nathan Clarke has joined Pareto as an employee benefits consultant after starting his career as a trainee IFA at Canter Holland and gaining experience in banking and wealth management. He will be advising on corporate pensions and employee benefits.
Paul Stones, managing director, Pareto Financial Planning, said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to join Pareto, and we welcome all of the new starters to the team.
“As we continue to grow, while keeping our core culture at the centre of everything we do, we are also settling into our new bespoke headquarters in the centre of Manchester.”
Pareto Financial Planning has more than £1bn of assets under management and has 71 staff, including 23 advisers. It was founded by John Stevenson and George Chantry in 2008, both experienced Financial Planners. John Stevenson was awarded with an MBE in the 2021 New Year Honours list for his support of cancer charities.
Paul Stones took on the role of managing director in 2021.
Earlier this year Pareto reported strong growth across the business with a 14% increase in turnover. The firm welcomed five new independent financial advisers in the 2023-24 year, expanding its team to meet rising client demand.
Pareto’s employee-led initiatives have raised more than £1m for charity since the company was formed 16 years ago. Last year it supported charities including Centrepoint, The Christie Charitable Fund, Beechwood Cancer Care, Stockport County Community Trust, Manchester Central Foodbank, MedEquip4Kids and Cash for Kids.
