Pension specialist Cartwright has handed each staff member a one-off cost of living payment of up to £2,000 to help them cope with the current challenging financial times.

The payment is in addition to their salary, profit share and other performance-related bonuses. 

The move comes just days after the Office for National Statistics reported that while CPI inflation has fallen to 7.9% for the year to June, the lowest level seen for over a year, food inflation remained at a high 17.4%. 

The company said the extra financial support builds on the approach that it took last summer when Cartwright was one of the first in the sector to provide cost-of-living support to its staff.

Last year, all workers received an extra £1,000 payment to help ease the financial impact of the financial crisis.

However, cost-of-living pressures during the first half of 2023 led us to take yet more action to help support our staff.”

Established in 1986, with offices in Godalming, Chelmsford, and Farnborough, it provides actuarial and investment advice, pensions consultancy and administration services to more than 200 clients, including trustees and sponsors,
