Perspective adds £375m AUA with 5 acquisitions
Fast-growing Financial Planning firm Perspective Financial Group completed five further acquisitions in December, adding £375m of assets under advice.
The deals also added 1,100 households as clients and three additional office locations in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Cheshire, the firm said.
The deals brought the group’s total number of acquisitions in 2024 to 29 and meant it has now made 107 acquisitions since being formed in 2008.
The five acquisitions Perspective made in December were: Hallidays Wealth Management in Stockport; Foinaven Asset Management in Ashbourne; Tony Fenton & Sons in Caistor; PW Financial Management in Cheadle; and the client book of a longstanding adviser based in Perspective (Home Counties) Ltd.
Tony Fenton & Sons in Caistor has become Perspective’s Lincoln hub office and been renamed as Perspective (Fenton & Danes).
Karl Fenton, Financial Planner said: “We had discussed options for the next phase of our company for some time with Tony approaching his retirement, but with myself, Ben Fenton and Jonathan Danes still looking to continue our careers as advisers. Perspective was the first company that we met with while looking into a sale, and from day one it always seemed like the right fit. The journey to completion was tough, as you would expect, but made so much easier by the supportive staff throughout the company.”
Foinaven Asset Management in Ashbourne has become Perspective (Foinaven) in Ashbourne.
Simon Roberts, Financial Planner said: “After many years of providing a high-quality service to our clients, I wanted this to continue indefinitely in a more protected environment for all concerned. Perspective operates in the same way as we do, and I look forward to continuing the journey to serve our clients.”
Ian Wilkinson, chief executive of Perspective said: “We welcome a number of new colleagues to our expanding group, including three new offices to further develop our national footprint.”
He said the business is looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings, and that it will continue to capitalise on strong M&A momentum and pipeline. He said: “We are meeting both large and small firms and plan to continue growing at pace with our highly selective acquisition strategy.”
Perspective now has 630 staff, 50 local offices, 160 Financial Planners, a quarter of whom are qualified to Chartered level or above, and £9.5bn of assets under advice.
