Planners get behind World Financial Planning Day
Financial Planners are getting behind the seventh World Financial Planning Day which runs today (Weds 4 Oct).
World Financial Planning Day is an annual global event to promote the benefits of Financial Planning.
Irish Financial Planning firm Investwise Financial Planning has used World Financial Planning Day to release the first of a series of videos on the value of Financial Planning.
This year’s theme is how Financial Planning can play a key role in reducing financial stress and worries for clients.
National IFA firm Continuum used World Financial Planning Day to call on advisers and providers to ensure they are doing their part of help clients combat stress and help with their wider wellbeing.
Martin Brown, managing partner at Continuum, said: “Money is one of the most sensitive subjects for many of us to talk about. A good independent financial adviser will build up their relationship with their clients to the point at which they are often a trusted confidant.
“The service from a good financial adviser should stretch way beyond just telling you what to do with your money. At Continuum our advisers are there to support clients and their families with many of life’s challenges, and we believe that is something all financial advice firms should offer as a core service.”
World Financial Planning Day is organised by global CFP standards setting body the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) and supported in the UK by the CISI professional body.
The CISI is hosting its Financial Planning conference this week, including promoting World Financial Planning Day.
It is also using the day to promote its Wayfinder service, which helps connect consumers with Financial Planners.
