'Poll shows IFP annual conference succeeded in its ambitions'
A positive opinion poll on the IFP annual conference confirms that it succeeded in its ambitions, the organisation's chief executive says.
Hundreds attended Celtic Manor resort in October, including nearly 400 of the leading Financial Planners and Paraplanners.
Results of the feedback survey have been released this morning, based on the 57% of the delegates who completed the form.
Some 80% of those who gave feedback rated the event as a whole as excellent - up from 64% last year - with only 2% describing it as satisfactory compared to 5% in 2013. No one rated it as poor.

The IFP said 50 people have already booked places for the 2015 conference. The slogan this year was "Keep it Real" to indicate that the focus was on providing sessions with tangible tips and ideas that delegates could take away and use in their daily working lives. Some 97.5% said the programme content met or exceeded expectation.
Other feedback included:
• 77% rated the venue excellent
• 88% rated the event as excellent or good value for money
• 97.5% said the programme content met or exceeded expectation
• 99% would recommend the conference
• 74% said they will be attending next year's conference (50 are already booked in for 2015).
Steve Gazzard CFPCM, chief executive of the IFP, said: "Getting such positive delegate feedback this year leaves us in no doubt that keep it real has succeeded in its ambition to provide actionable ideas that attendees can put into practice in their financial planning businesses.
"We're already working through this year's feedback to use all the great ideas it has generated, to make sure that our 2015 conference is even better still."
He praised the "dedicated events and conference committee" headed by Mike Macleod CFPCM for their work arranging it.
Their commitment, inspiration and willingness to give up their time has been a highly significant factor in the success of this event which really is designed by Financial Planning professionals for Financial Planning professionals."
He thanked lead sponsor Partnership and all the conference supporters and exhibitors.
Rebecca Taylor FIFP, CFPCM President of the IFP, said: "For me such positive feedback simply confirms what so many delegates have been telling me, that for them this was the best conference they've been to.
"I can't take any of the glory for organising it but I too felt it was our best one yet. The bar has been set extremely high but I know that the IFP team and the events committee headed this year by Damien Rylett will rise to the challenge. I'm looking forward to the 2015 conference already."
