Progeny acquires female-focused Financial Planner
Female-focused Financial Planning firm Addidi Wealth is to become part of growing Financial Planner Progeny.
As part of Progeny, Addidi is expected to continue focusing on wealth advisory services for women but to also add legal and tax advice.
Addidi is run by the high profile equality campaigner Anna Sofat and is based in central London. It focuses on affluent and HNW female clients although it also works with male clients.
The firm was profiled in Financial Planning Today magazine recently. The magazine and a 3 Year Back Issue Library is available to subscribers here https://www.financialplanningtoday.co.uk/fp-today-magazine
Addidi was founded by Anna Sofat and her husband Janardan in 2006.
Ms Sofat has been working with Progeny for some time and says she approached Progeny to “explore partnering for the next phase of business development.”
The Addidi chief executive said: “Progeny have brought together financial, legal and tax advice under one roof for the first time in the UK, so who better to partner with in extending Addidi’s vision to a wider audience and effecting real change in democratising the financial services space?
“Currently, around 90% of female clients say that they feel underrepresented and unsupported by the financial industry as a whole. Together with Progeny, we aim to change that.”
Neil Moles, chief executive of Progeny, said: “We are delighted to welcome Anna and the Addidi team to Progeny, to strengthen our Financial Planning offering and pursue an agenda of equality and inclusivity in financial advice.”
Progeny combines Financial Planning, asset management, tax, HR and private and corporate legal services. It is a national firm employing 150 staff at offices in London, Leeds and around the UK and has assets under management of £2bn.
