Project to raise profile of Financial Planning needs more help
Nearly 50 Financial Planners have agreed to team up to boost the public profile of the Financial Planning profession with a new consumer targeted project.
Aimed at members of the public, a book backed by the IFP will be published during November to coincide with Financial Planning Week.
The initiative, driven by Martin Bamford CFPCM, is nearly ready to get underway but an appeal has gone out to find another seven Financial Planners willing to take part.
In total, the aim is to have 52 planners contributing to the publication, which will have a foreword from the IFP.

Mr Bamford said: "The response to this initiative has been excellent and as soon as we have all 52 CFPs lined up we will start the production process.
"In the first instance, this means brainstorming topics to cover and allocating chapters to each Financial Planner.
"I'm really excited about bringing together such valuable insight from a wide range of Financial Planners and then packaging it in an accessible and appealing form, which I have no doubt will help raise the profile of Financial Planning further still during Financial Planning Week later this year."
Half of all profits will be donated to charity. It is the latest in a series of projects by Mr Bamford aimed at boosting the profession.
It follows his documentary about Financial Planning called Boom last year. He also co-wrote a book on the same subject with Justin King CFPCM.
The full line up of Financial Planners who have signed up to take part in the project is:
Alan Dick, Andrew Elson, Andrew Neligan, Andrew Reeves, Andy Brook-Dobson, Brian Benson, Bryan Koslow, Caroline Keegan, Chris Weetman, Chris Williams, Claire Menni, Craig Palfrey, Dan Woodruff, David Gibson, Dhan Sharma, Diane Weitz, Dom Spalding, Duncan Hanay-Robertson, Donald Magnus Fraser, Eva Frzonova, Farida Hassanali, Gareth Reynolds, Garry Hale, Gini Bolton, Huw Jones, Jason Butler, Jason Holmes, Jonathan Hunt, Joss Harwood, Julie Lord, Justin King, Kusal Ariyawansa, Martin Bamford, Martin Hill, Paul Campion, Paul Gorman, Pete Matthew, Phil Billingham, Ruth Sturkey, Shannon Currie, Simon Fitton, Steve Martin, Steven Hennesy, Taylor Schulte and Tim Page.
