PTL to be renamed after Zedra takeover
Trustee and governance service provider PTL Governance is to become Zedra Governance from 18 July after its acquisition by Zedra in December 2021.
PTL is one of the UK’s biggest independent trustee firms with offices in London, Leeds, Reading and Birmingham.
PTL mainly works with occupational pension schemes, including trust-based defined benefit and defined contribution schemes and contract-based pension schemes including group personal pension plans. It also provides a range of governance services to other non-pension trusts.
Richard Butcher, managing director at PTL, said: “Since the acquisition, our focus has been on delivering the same high-quality service that our clients expect from us. Behind the scenes, we have also been working very closely with Zedra to ensure a smooth integration for both teams. Now it’s time for the next exciting step in that journey - to adopt the Zedra brand.
“Becoming part of Zedra has meant we have become a more sustainable business. This means we’ll be around for the long term, helping our clients to deliver their own long-term objectives. PTL remains at its core the same professional, pragmatic, and personable business it always was.”
Ivo Hemelraad, Zedra CEO, said: “Over the last few months since PTL has joined the Zedra family, we have seen a successful and collaborative integration process that has now brought us to this position of bringing the organisation under one brand. We are excited for what will, undoubtedly, be a bright future ahead for the firm and growing our footprint as the recognised leader in the outsourced pensions governance space in the UK.”
Zedra provides corporate services, active wealth and fund solutions. The firm’s teams work with high net worth individuals and their families, medium to large sized companies, corporate pension schemes, asset managers and their investors.
