SIPP provider adds SW adviser support specialist
SIPP and SSAS provider @sipp has appointed Josh Legg as business development manager.
Mr Legg will help advisers based in the South West with the technical aspects of SIPP and SSAS as well as commercial property.
He has 12 years of experience in the SIPP and SSAS sector and joins from SIPP provider Curtis Banks, which is now part of the Nucleus platform.
Mr Legg, who started his new role on 4 November, said: “The SIPP market continues to consolidate and with an increase in outsourced 'call centre' administration, it feels like there is a unique opportunity for a truly independent firm, without any conflict or bias, to capitalise and assist advisers and their clients who have been burned by the servicing issues that often come with a takeover.”
The pensions provider also made two senior promotions this summer as it looks to press ahead with growth plans.
Steve Lancaster was promoted to the newly created role of chief operating officer. He now oversees the provider’s sales and operations departments, in addition to his previous finance responsibilities.
Tercia Grindlay was also promoted to finance manager.
In January the @sipp management team completed a buyout to ensure the firm remains independent and to help accelerate the provider’s expansion plans.
The Glasgow-based provider provides administration and trustee services for more than 4,600 self-invested pension members and 550 financial advisers, holding around £2bn assets under administration, including 1,300 commercial properties.
