Tatton tops most recommended MPS list
Tatton Core Active remained the most recommended platform managed portfolio solution (MPS) in the third quarter of the year, gaining 15.97% of the top 10 share.
But Quilter WealthSelect and its managed range dominated the top 10 with four entries.
Quilter’s Managed Blend 6 climbed two places to second spot, while its 7 and 5 portfolios climbed into the top 10 for the first time in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Quilter’s fourth proposition in the top 10 was its WealthSelect, Managed Active 6.
The data, which is published quarterly, is drawn from Defaqto Engage.
Andy Parsons, insight manager (funds & DFM) at Defaqto, said: “Tatton Core Active continues to clearly lead the way with advisers and has held the number 1 spot all year so far. The most notable change is the dominance of Quilter WealthSelect within the top 10 with four of their portfolios being represented.”

The top 10 most recommended single asset funds by value for the third quarter of the year saw Fundsmith, managed by Terry Smith, reclaiming the top spot, dropping the Vanguard LifeStrategy 100% Equity fund back down to second.
Mr Parsons said: “The size and breadth of single asset investment solutions is vast, and yet this quarter, there is only one new entry – the Royal London Corporate Bond fund, last seen in the top 10 most favoured solutions in 2023.”

The top 10 most recommended multi-asset investment solutions by value for the year to date to the end of the third quarter, remained exactly the same compared with Q2. However there were some positional changes within the top six positions, with three solutions climbing up a place and three dropping a place.
Mr Parsons said: “The most notable movement is that of the HSBC Global Strategy Balanced fund which has now ascended the top step, having continually moved up a place every quarter since the end of 2023.”
